Stacie and Zach

Another Visit to California

This time we sped out to California so we could be with my mom after her surgery. A brain tumor was found and removed. As you can imagine, pretty scary stuff. Luckily the tumor was slow growing and operable. They removed it all, so they say, and there is no talk of radiation or anything that will make her hair fall out. Not that she has much now. She is doing much better than before the surgery and is very close to being her old self.

This trip isn’t one I wanted to make but it was nice to see the family even under these circumstances. India and Ezra got to see Aunts and Uncles again and keep connected with the extended family.

Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures while with my family. I guess things were a little bit stressful and I didn’t really think to take my camera out. But while at Zach’s parents’ the camera came out. This is India and Ezra on Grandma and Grandpa’s cool black leather couch.

India and Ezra both love Uncle Noah. He loves to play with them both and when he comes home from work, the first thing he wants is a turn holding Ezra. What more could a mom want?

Ezra enjoyed his time in the restaurant style highchair. He ate artichoke, banana, peach from the orchard, and lots of avocado (also from the orchard).

My mom was in the hospital for about 2 weeks. The day she got out, I broke my foot and had to be rushed to the ER by my brother. I had hoped to help my mom for her first week home, but now I am an invalid too. I can’t even walk Ezra to his bed, or anywhere for that matter. But I can photograph! Well, a little. Zach’s brother and his family arrived to the parent’s house the day after my break and took India to the beach and Lego Land. Just before going to Lego Land I photographed their family.

Most of the cousins together. Just missing Andrea, Camille and Owen!

Thankfully I have since cut India’s hair. Don’t worry, she can now see everything.
