This weekend
It’s been awhile since I have posted anything new. I am busy with my work, kids, life. Oh and I have a new blog to work on too. As if this one weren’t enough. My new blog is basically for my clients. So a watered down version of my personal one and it will have more of my commisioned photographs there. Anyway, just thought I’d share. I’m not sure what this new blog will mean for my family blog. Time will tell.
This weekend we had Rebecca, Tige and the kids over. It was conference weekend and we spent both Saturday and Sunday together. I think we did pretty well considering it was a last minute thing and I hadn’t really planned anything specific in terms of food. Thank goodness I had hit the Farmer’s Market on Thursday otherwise we would have had nothing! Oh and thanks to the van we were able to buy a futon! Yes, you heard correctly, we now have a place to sleep guests. Book your visit now, ’cause hotel Smith will fill up soon.Â

Bonsai!!! Burgers!!! The BEST. I even mentioned them in my other blog, they were that good. I also took a cue from Morgan and photographed our good-eats. Also, some characters eating them… well, just Zach. He’s a goof-ball, that one. And yes, he is sporting a beard these days.Â

Then came the salad. I know, I’m a bit batty. But you have to believe this salad was to die for. It was so good and so easy to make. I won’t mention that I forgot to add the potatoes… oops, it just slipped. Nobody’s perfect. But this was near to perfection. I used to order a salad similar to this back in my assisting days. Ok, it was really different, but tasts very similar. Roasted veggies on lettuce… it’s a ‘good thing’. Can I say that??? HA! I think it’s trade marked.
Ezra has been clapping for several weeks now. He is so cute. I think he is cutting a tooth on the top. In spite of that, he is still a very happy kid. He makes everyone smile. It’s fun to have him around.

Oh yes. I almost forgot. India and the girls decided to dress up Ezra as a fairy. He loves it now. Yes, those are fairy wings on my boy!
