This is the End
I’m not sure how many people still visit this site but I thought I should let whoever know that I am not longer here. I have finally decided that updating 2 blogs is just too much! So I have concentrated all my efforts on Stacie’s Musing… my supposed work blog, which has family updates too. So, if you are ever surfing your blogs, please visit the Smith clan here, and change your bookmarks too so you can visit often.
Thanks,
Stacie
Thanksgiving
For the latest updates check out the work blog. We had fun and I photographed, which is fun too.
Check it out!
Who are the People in our Neighborhood??
Just in case you were wondering.
The woman across the street from us hosted a street ice cream social. It was well attended. This will give you an idea of who India and Ezra will be playing with now and in the future. This is only our street, so not everyone is represented. We had a lot of fun and Ezra only had a hard time when we pulled him away from the fire truck.

Even the adults had fun

India and this guy have had lots of fun together. She enjoys hangin’ with the boys, playing boy games.

Our driveway was full of activity once the street was no longer blocked off.
The House Search
Zach just sent me this listing. It just went on and will probably be snatched up quickly. Check it out for yourselves and see what really gets us excited in a house… aside from the really cool furniture. Check out the wall to the kitchen (left side of the first image) and the really cool windows in the family room (last shot). Lots of natural light and visual interest.

We got an offer
We got an offer yesterday after our house had been on the market for one day! Can’t believe it.Â
If it actually goes through our move date will be April 24th. Things are coming together. Keep your fingers crossed.
We’re Moving… again!
It is official. Our house is currently on the market.  If you know anyone interested in moving to the BEST neighborhood just outside the city of Baltimore send them our way.Â
We should be moving to Denver by mid May. Can you believe it? We really didn’t think this was going to happen. Zach got a really great job… one that he couldn’t refuse. If you would like more details, please email me directly. Suffice it to say he will be working with cochlear implants at a company called Cochlear, based out of Australia.  Not only will he have a great job, he/we will be traveling to Aussie each year. Pretty cool.Â
For those of you who were unable to visit us in this house (we have only been here for 1.5 years) below are a few photos that I took for our listing. Oh yeah, there is also evidence of Ezra walking in these. Oh, and if you have been here things may look a bit different. I wish we had an excuse to dress up our place when we move in. Not when we are leaving!

Happy New Year!
Vacation is over and I am catching up on all my album and print orders. It is finally cold outside! The weather started warming up just after we saw “An Inconvenient Truth”. Gore picked the right year to release this film. If you haven’t seen this film yet you should. An awesome display of evidence in responce to Bush’s claim that global warming doesn’t exist. Anyway, India and I have been enjoying kicking the soccer ball back and forth out in the cold as she waits for her bus. I feel like a New Englander with our fun in the cold. Who knew that I could even have fun in 30 degree weather. I guess I am no longer a California girl.Â
We have had dun dreaming about building a green house this week. We visited the National Building Museum in DC and toured the Glide House that is there for all to walk through. If you haven’t heard, pre-fab housing is the latest cool thing in building. To have a house that is not hooked up to any utilities would be even cooler. A self sustaining house… what could be better?
It sounds like this year is off to an activist start. Ha! Oh ya, there’s one more radical thing we are changing in our lives. We have started this year by saying bye-bye to the Atkins mentality and hello to vegetables. Not that we were ever on the Atkins diet, but you have to admit that our entire nation was swept into a no carb frenzy. Every once in a while I am reminded of nutrition and the importance of eating right. This year “The China Study” has helped me to remember all the things I had forgotten… and didn’t know.Â
The Newest Baby…
that we know, anyway. This week marks the first time I have been able to drive since breaking my foot. In honor of this momentous occasion, we went raspberry picking with friends, I had 2 photo shoots, and one meeting down in Rockview (1.5 hour drive) for next week’s wedding. We were a bit overbooked and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down. I am smiling as I write this!!! I am very excited to photograph again and to be independent.Â
I am almost back to speed and limp just a bit now. I’ve been walking India home from school (she insists on taking the bus there) and this coming week I am hoping to increase my endurance even further. Maybe I’ll even goto the Farmer’s Market on Thursday. Yeah!Â
Ok, so back to the baby. This is Alisa and she is super sweet and tiny, tiny. Michele is my friend and exercise coach. I can’t wait to work-out with her again!
